Sharing the art of self-care through Āyurveda and Yoga
about BARBEJO
Greetings, I discovered Āyurveda in 1994, while working as a cosmetologist. All of my clients, including myself, were experiencing some degree of skin imbalance and the topical treatments I was offering didn’t seem to work long term.
I began exploring wholistic skincare and came across the book “Absolute Beauty” by Pratima Raichur. I changed my diet and started doing self-care practices based on my Āyurvedic constitution. My energy, sleep and skin directly improved. This inspired me to learn more. I trained in Āyurveda and yoga and began offering Āyurvedic beauty treatments, women’s yoga and self-care retreats, and sacred sound meditations.
In 2003, my life changed radically when I became bedridden and using a wheelchair from a tick bite. I was able to use Āyurveda and yoga to help support my healing while under my doctors care. For the past 30 years I have been devoted to learning and sharing this timeless wisdom. My mission is to create a safe space where you can discover and honor your uniqueness, learn the art of self-care, and celebrate life with intention and purpose.
